Tessisamess

Welcome to my design blog!

I'm Tess, and I make layouts and tons of other free resources for Insanejournal users; I specialize in tools for RPers and game moderators, but I have tons of layouts available that fit just about any use! Feel free to browse the menu above or the extended tags page to find what you're looking for. You can also check out my shop, buy me a coffee, or make a pledge to my Patreon! And, of course, if you have any questions you can always contact me either on the contact page or on the post your question relates to. ♡

If you're here from Dreamwidth you might find my guide for how to install any of my S2 IJ layouts on DW tutorial useful!

S2 Complete Documentation

S2
COMPLETE STYLE
FULL LAYOUT DOCUMENTATION
It had to wait a month thanks to the flu, but it's finally here—that's right, guys! A complete documentation of S2 Complete Style and all its components. I've done things a little differently this time around, so my Generator documentation might get an overhaul sometime this year to match, but rest assured it's still just as thorough!

[info]s2complete comes with chapter-based lessons on each section of the layout base, breaking it down into small, easy to manage pieces and working from the ground up.

So what are we waiting for? Let's start learning!

Resource Masterpost

To kick off 2018, I've created an extensive post for everything I use or have used to make my work life easier and more efficient! All links are for free resources because, even though I do pay for resources to be able to create the best content I can for you all, I know free is always best for personal use.

If you want to be notified when this post gets updated, just track my updates thread! I'll post a comment each time I update the list. Have questions and/or need specific recommendations? Leave a comment! You'll probably remind me of something I meant to put on the list and forgot.

The Ultimate Generator Tutorial

This is a tutorial I've been meaning to do for literal years! It took forever to get to it, but today we're going to pick apart the train wreck that is Generator in hopes that more people can actually use it to create custom content. Exciting stuff!

This tutorial is going to cover any and everything I've ever learned while fighting working with Generator, so it's going to be extremely long. It's worth it, though; I promise! If you've ever wanted to make your own Generator layout, but the task seemed too daunting, you are right where you need to be. And, with that, away we go!

Don't forget to post the creations you make using this new workable base at [info]rpresources and the new community, [info]s1generator, which I've created for all Generator-specific needs!

Resource: Comprehensive Mod Checklist

Onward to the checklist!
[Like my code tester, this will be a permanent link, so come back to it anytime you like!]

This has been a looong time coming for me, haha. I've said more than once that I wanted to make something like this for you guys, and it finally happened! Be sure to click things, test things out, the whole nine! I didn't go too overboard on it since I wanted to host it here and not on my site (which eliminated JS), but I think it does the trick. Enjoy! <3
