What's new in 2019!

Hey guys!
Let's talk about current plans for 2019 and what other things we want to do this year! There's a lot to cover, from what I'll be coming out with during the first few months of 2019 to questions you might have about past projects, and everything in between; let's get started!Sanity
First up, let's cover some info on something I know a lot of you have been wondering about: What's the status on Sanity, when will there be new updates, and when the heck is it finally coming to Firefox?! It's been a while, right! Believe me, I know and it's been stressing me out haha. Every project has hiccups, and I should have figured this one would be no exception. So what's the deal been? Simply put, I misunderstood some things going in and that's my bad. If I'd found the right answers sooner I would have known that Firefox does not have any options for paid extensions that don't require very costly paywalls, and that's just a whole headache I'd really rather not deal with when all I really wanted was to get this thing out to all of you guys while still getting paid for the amount of time that has and will continue to go into the extension.
Which puts me sort of between a rock and a hard place so far as finding a solution that's fair to both me and you guys, right? I could release it for free, but that's not fair to people who've already paid for it, people who plan to buy it on Chrome, or to myself; I could remove the Firefox links and abandon the idea, but that really sucks for Firefox users—especially since it's fully ready to go and has been for months. So what do we do about this so that I can make sure everyone gets what they want? Here's the plan:
Both extensions will be made free as soon as we hit a $800 USD mark to cover a rough estimate of what I would have made on Firefox and to be way more fair to the people who've believed in the project enough to invest in it already. There is no time limit on this, so don't stress. Whenever we hit it, we hit it, and Sanity will be made free on Chrome and be put up on Firefox, also for free.
I'd really like to get us there so that I can make this free without stressing or feeling guilty about who paid for what, so let's look at what counts towards the goal to get us there:
- Anything additional on Patreon that puts me over $800 USD each month, starting with January. (So for example: If January ends with $849 USD funding creations then $49 USD counts towards the goal for Sanity.)
- Any and all Ko-fi donations starting today.
- Any purchases of the Chrome version of Sanity, which is being permanently marked down to $20 USD from $35 USD until we hit our goal to make it free.
Web Developers
Are you or is someone else you know in the RP world a web developer with programming skills? If so, I'd really like to get in touch with you about a project! Go ahead and email me at tessisabiiitch@gmail.com to introduce yourself, tell me about the programming languages you use, and to hear about the project to see if you're interested in joining my small team. Please note that, at this time, this is a passion project, which is why I'm coming to RPers first—none of us are getting paid to do this, and though that may change in the future, for now please understand that going in. If you don't have the time for something that isn't going to help pay the bills, believe me, I totally understand. We are not looking for graphic or web designers, as our team already has that covered. The Mod Bundle
January is all about the mods of IJ! New year, new you—or, at the very least, new and low-stress tools to help you run your games. 😛 You may be wondering why there was no tutorial on Monday. That's because, after some consideration and a few false starts, I've decided January is going to have a BIG project post rather than four smaller posts. It's all just too much to put into my usual setup!Be ready, because later this month The Mod Bundle is coming, complete with layout setups, common game info post templates, blank templates for game-specific info, and tips and tricks on how to automate your modding as much as possible without sacrificing how smoothly your game runs!
I sincerely hope it makes creating and running games quicker and less stressful so that you guys can focus on the world building and your own writing in the games!
