hi! i just wanted to let you know that i did something cool with the instagram code! i used jquery, css, and colorbox in a previous style to make an in game business website, and i tweaked the code from that to make the images and videos pop out on the instagram site (sort of like regular instagram). i haven't quite figured out how to keep the captions on the pop-outs, but honestly, they're not really necessary, since you can still read them in the regular page. anywho, here's what i'm talking about.

Hi! So, I stumbled upon your website and have a question. I'm in web design myself and I've noticed that those java based websites are increasingly becoming more common but I can't figure out HOW you made it.

Any hints would be very much appreciated.

Thank you :)

hi i love your layouts, i think they're made really wonderfully and easy to use. i was wondering if you'd ever consider making some a little bit more on-trend with the rest of the ij community? for example like the ones from ~starring (http://publicizing.webs.com/taken.htm)?

Hey Tess. I was looking at your Buy a Layout page and just wanted to drop you a quick note just to say that this one: [Bad username: http://usedtobabysit.insanejournal.com/] is SO, SO AMAZING. So beautiful. Stellar, stellar work. I am just...in awe. OF ALL OF THEM. But I wanted to flail about this one in particular right now. You are so talented, and you have such a great eye, and you're so creative with your designs.

I just felt like giving you a little love, so I thought why not? I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY. <333

Just wanted to send you some love for your amazing designs and coding! You're one of my biggest idols when it comes to coding and want to thank you for being so radical over the years! I saw one of your codes back in LJ and have been a big fan since. Hope you're doing well and sending you more well-wishes!

Hi, I was just wondering if you do custom made character rosters? I can't seem to find one I like and thought maybe I should just buy one. xD

Thank you!

Been trying to prep a comm before World-building June and I just wanted to say that your generator base came in handy. Thank you :) I wanted one journal entry to fill up the whole page, but did not manage to figure out how to hide the 'post comment' link, so I just changed the link colour to the background colour and stashed everything else away using visibility:hidden. You've made working with the generator layout a lot less daunting to approach ^_^

I love this code, but I can't get it to go three across on dw. What am I doing wrong?

Sooooo, you're the only person I can think of asking to get some help with this issue I'm having. I edited a layout down to fit how I wanted without links at the sidebar/top but I'm having an issue with pictures/html posts showing up now as well. (Not to mention I cannot seem to hide posts any longer from public view, GRRRR.)

I was hoping you'd be willing to help me with a line (or two) of coding from a layout I bought from you. The original one did not have an image as a background and that was easy to add. What I'm struggling with it how to tell said background image to stay put on the right-side and to not repeat.

ignoring the [background here] of course...

body{color:#222;background:url([background here])#123a2f;margin:0;padding:20px 0 0 0;font-family:helvetica,arial,sans-serif;}

I am just not well-versed enough in IJ-CSS to get the no-repeat and alignment to stick. halp?

Hi Tess! First let me say that you are hands down my favorite layout creator and I'm so glad to see you're still churning out amazingness.

I had a question about the sticky note function in a layout. I'm looking at the Pointedly layout at the moment and am considering using it for a journal and I'm curious if I can hardcode some HTML in there directly from the layout code.

I ask because putting it in the sticky note field on the customize journal page seems to do the standard IJ auto-formatting and spaces it out horribly, and there's no 'disable auto-format' for that field, and it ignores the lj-raw command.

Specifically I'm interested in throwing in a table (I tried DIVs too but it doesn't seem to space right there either).

If you've got any thoughts or tips, I'd love to hear them!

Thanks ever so much,

first of all, I adore you. I use your codes all the time, and any time I've ever gotten stuck or had a question you've been so great. It's awesome that you do all you do ♥

I generally feel pretty okay about tweaking existing codes if necessary, but I'd really like to get more involved and knowledgeable in creation from scratch. I was wondering if you have any advice/resources you might want to point someone towards for learning about the sorts of layouts/codes that can be used on IJ? If not, I totally understand, and I know you're incredibly busy. Either way, thank you for all you do. I'm hoping to donate to your patron when I get paid next. ;) (That's not a bribe or anything, I've wanted to donate to you for a long time either way :-P)

Hi there! I don't want to be a bother, but I had a quick (and hopefully simple) question for you - would you happen to know where I would be able to find a mock OKCupid layout that works with neocities? I know there was one floating around before, but it no longer seems to be working. I can edit it easily on my own, I just am wondering if a layout code already exists that I would be able to edit?

Hi Tess!

I was wondering if you were ever planning to get [info]writingguides off the ground? I love the layout and concept, and think it might be a great resource, but can understand if you simply don't have the time to do so.

Also, thank you for continuing to provide amazing codes!

I love love love your layouts. Any chance you'll ever dabble in coding any for Dreamwidth?

hi! i love all of your stuff! will you ever post this layout? http://silent-jack.insanejournal.com i absolutely love it and have been trying to make something like that for a while

Hi, IDK if you can help me because I'm having a problem with a layout on Dreamwidth and I know they're completely different from IJ's but I figured I'd give it a shot! I noticed your current layout here is two columns and when I grab the edge of my browser and drag in, it stays two columns and a horizontal scroll bar appears. My problem is, with the layout I'm using, when I drag in the browser, the right column automatically moves below the left one. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out how to stop this, and have been adding position: fixed, overflow-x: scroll, and all kinds of code to this in the hopes of getting that right column to stay put, but either that isn't the code I need, or I'm putting it in the wrong spots. Any idea what I could do to stop the column moving when the browser width is reduced?
