Layouts, Codes, Tutorials, & Resources

Hey there, I'm Tess!

Welcome to my blog; I make lots of different layouts, codes, tutorials, and other resources for Insanejournal and Dreamwidth RPers! There's a lot to choose from and brand new content goes up every week!

Take a look around, and don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it!

Can't get enough resources? Why not subscribe to my Patreon for exclusive monthly content, or support the creation of more content by leaving a tip on Ko-Fi! ♡

If you're unable to comment on my journal to ask for help now that anon has been turned off due to serious spam issues, don't worry! Just shoot me an email and I'll send you an invite code for Insanejournal. I've got plenty to spare!

Please Note:

I do not offer assistance with any sites other than IJ and DW unless it is for general HTML and CSS (ie. custom hosted pages and similar.) I cannot convert a code to a new site's rules because there are a lot of niche RP sites, and I have no way of knowing each one's limitations and caveats. Sorry about that!

Contact/Navigation: Layered

Information

The last of my early June posting in celebration of all the exciting stuff I've got going on—including the launch of my Patreon—before July posting starts!

This contact/navigation code (right and centered versions below!) features large text, transparent overlaying elements to build up the content, and a simple, but tried and true way to showcase your/your character's aesthetic (or to easily portray them from two different mediums!) Enjoy! ♥

Heee, tysm! ♥ I've been wanting to do some of these for a while now haha.

It's really cool! I'm using it on this journal, using the idea you have with linking to all my CDJ stuff.

Oh, rad! I was hoping someone would do that (my CDJ isn't set up to have room for it so I was a little sad hahaha.)

And it looks so nice with those pictures! (Also that page background, ughhh.)

:) I just had something simple before, but I always love trying something new, and I really love how it's put together!

Thanks! :D I first tested it with a background of Hobbiton with an icon of Bilbo, but it was a lot of green with my layout background. Lol. I thought this matched a bit and still had a bit of that fandom love. Clearly I'm a nerd. xD

I'm going to be redoing so much coding

A+++

LOL, sorry for the inconvenience. (Not really.)

Well now I definitely have to come back to RP, just so I can use this.

Heeee, dude yeah you definitely should! ♥

Is there a way to edit the code to allow multiple char posts to sit beside one another along one page? They keep popping up vertical, and I can't seem to get them horizontal.
Aug. 1st, 2017 04:06 am (UTC)
Nevermind. Adding :float fixed it.

Ugh love this so much. I am having issues with how it shows up in the journal. For the record I'm using one of your S2 styles. In the entry itself the post is fine as seen here: http://dawson.insanejournal.com/102426.html

But in the journal itself it's .. squished? http://dawson.insanejournal.com/ I tried putting it into a table, editing the size, I just honestly don't know why it's showing up like that on the journal itself.

Okay, so! All of my new layouts have *{box-sizing:border;box;} to make the code cleaner, so if a code ever squishes that way you'll want to add box-sizing:content-box; to whichever div in the entry code is using padding to push content down; in this case it's the div that has padding-top:125px; in it!

YES! It worked! Thank you so much
