*unattractive noises* I realized I don't make many layouts with this setup, so heeeere you go! The text on the image is part of the code, so you can make it say whatever you want over whatever image you want, yaaay! I thought that would be cute and I like how it came out. Enjoy! <3

Ugh, why do you make so many perfect layouts? :P

This is gorgeous. I just switched like half my layouts to another one of yours, but I am totally bookmarking this for future usage.

Sep. 14th, 2015 05:56 am (UTC)
OH MY JESUS! Using!!! Is there a way to make the images not black and white? Or are those just like that? O.O
Sep. 14th, 2015 06:02 am (UTC)
Heee. Don't worry, the images themselves are black and white; it's not in the code.
Sep. 16th, 2015 05:28 am (UTC)
Thank you! I have one more question. Is there a way to add your own links to the sidebar? I tried earlier and it just kept excluding them. :(
Sep. 16th, 2015 06:44 pm (UTC)
Amazing! This may be super simple, but is there a way to add the tag list to the sidebar? I included it on the sidebar ordering list but it didn't show.
May. 6th, 2016 03:34 pm (UTC)
Wondering the same thing!
Sep. 23rd, 2015 12:54 am (UTC)
I am using this over at [info]thorinoaknshld and it is just so effing perfect. I am completely in love with this layout.

(wow, sorry for the notif spam; i managed to forget the journalname TWICE)
Sep. 27th, 2015 10:44 pm (UTC)
Using this for [info]allrightnow!
Oct. 22nd, 2015 05:49 am (UTC)
I snagged this for use on this journal, thank you so much! It's exactly what I was looking for!
Nov. 6th, 2015 09:00 am (UTC)
Helpppp. I love this layout so much, but I don't like the text italicized when I use blockquote. I found that bit in the code and initially just removed 'italic' and put 'none' but that didn't change anything. Then I removed this whole bit;

blockquote:before, blockquote:after{margin:5px 0;content:'';display:block;height:1px;background-image:linear-gradient(to right, rgba(0, 0, 0, 0), rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.75), rgba(0, 0, 0, 0));opacity:0.6;}

But it's still italicized. :(
Dec. 30th, 2015 05:47 pm (UTC)
Hello! I love the layout and I'm trying to use it for this journal. I was just wondering if there was a way to make the space between the lines of the text in the title smaller?
Jan. 3rd, 2016 08:58 am (UTC)
Using it for this journal! JUST what I wanted!

Is there a way to add your own links to the sidebar? I want a like to my character's bio page (hosted on Webs) instead of the archive section.
Jan. 3rd, 2016 08:58 am (UTC)
*link, rather
Jan. 5th, 2016 08:16 pm (UTC)
There isn't, but I can swap the viewlinks for freelinks in the coding! Then you'd just have to put in Recent/Friends/Profile manually, and you could either keep Calendar and add Bio, or nix it and replace it with Bio. Would that work for you?
Jan. 5th, 2016 08:22 pm (UTC)
That definitely works for me! You're a saint. Thank you!
Jan. 5th, 2016 08:27 pm (UTC)
Hee, okay! First, go on and fill in your links. And then in the layout you'll want to replace:

.module-viewlinks ul{list-style:none;margin:0;padding:0;}
.module-viewlinks li{display:block;}
.module-viewlinks li a{display:block;width:100%;padding:0 0 15px 0;margin:0;color:#666;}

.module-layoutcredit a{font-size:8px;padding:0;display:block;width:100%;margin:0;color:#666;}
.module-layoutcredit p{padding:0;margin:0;text-transform:uppercase;letter-spacing:5px;}

.module-viewlinks li a:after, .module-layoutcredit a:after, .module-customtext2:after{margin-top:15px;content:'';display:block;height:1px;background-image:linear-gradient(to right, rgba(255, 255, 255, 0), rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.75), rgba(255, 255, 255, 0));opacity:0.4;}
.module-layoutcredit a:after{margin-top:7px;}

.module-about, .module-calendar, .module-typelist, .module-categories, .module-pagesummary, .module-syndicate, .module-powered, .module-ads{display:none;}

With this:

.module-typelist ul{list-style:none;margin:0;padding:0;}
.module-typelist li{display:block;}
.module-typelist li a{display:block;width:100%;padding:0 0 15px 0;margin:0;color:#666;}

.module-layoutcredit a{font-size:8px;padding:0;display:block;width:100%;margin:0;color:#666;}
.module-layoutcredit p{padding:0;margin:0;text-transform:uppercase;letter-spacing:5px;}

.module-typelist li a:after, .module-layoutcredit a:after, .module-customtext2:after{margin-top:15px;content:'';display:block;height:1px;background-image:linear-gradient(to right, rgba(255, 255, 255, 0), rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.75), rgba(255, 255, 255, 0));opacity:0.4;}
.module-layoutcredit a:after{margin-top:7px;}

.module-about, .module-calendar, .module-viewlinks, .module-categories, .module-pagesummary, .module-syndicate, .module-powered, .module-ads{display:none;}

Let me know if anything comes out looking janky! :D
Jan. 6th, 2016 06:57 am (UTC)
Ahhh! Perfect! Thank you so much for your help! It looks lovely!
Jan. 6th, 2016 07:09 am (UTC)
No problem! :D
Feb. 11th, 2016 08:21 pm (UTC)
First, I LOVE this layout! It's sleek and gorgeous, and even though it doesn't surprise me cause (duh) you made it, it still needs saying.

So, I've run into a little problem. I just plugged and played the code and such, I haven't edited anything in it (yet, it's on my to-do list!), but it's doing something strange in the friends page view. For the first few posts, it's fine, but then it seems like the width for the entries gets wider and is partially hidden by the left sidebar? I'd be so grateful if you could help!
Feb. 11th, 2016 08:35 pm (UTC)
Awww, tysm!! <3

Okay, so it looks like the post with the journal image is interfering with the layout, because the code is inside of a div and a table with a very wide width without a cut. There are some other codes I'm seeing on your flist above cuts, but I'm mostly sure that post is causing most of the issue. Unfortunately, there's not much to do about that if your game tends towards above-cut codes except wait for it to get pushed off the page. :(
Feb. 11th, 2016 08:40 pm (UTC)
Ahh, it occurred to me after I posted this that that might be the case. Unfortunately, they're a new player to IJ games so it might just take a gentle poke about it. But thank you so much for checking! You're the best XD
Feb. 11th, 2016 08:43 pm (UTC)
No problem at all! :D
Feb. 22nd, 2016 02:30 am (UTC)
First and foremost, LOVE LOVE LOVE all your designs.

I'm using this layout for my Eros journal here but for some reason no matter what I change, I can't get the links for the tags in the entry to change color. Is there a link color I missed somewhere?!
Mar. 3rd, 2016 02:07 am (UTC)
Anyone have an idea about this or had a similar problem?
Mar. 19th, 2016 02:11 am (UTC)
Hey, I LOVE this layout. We are using it for our community and are thrilled with it. You are one talented lady!

I was wondering if you could help me with something, When we look at the sub-communities, we aren't able to see anyones icons or usernames. We don't want to see it on the main journal, just on the sub-communities. Help! :D\

Thank you for your time. <3
Apr. 11th, 2016 05:04 pm (UTC)
used your layout for this celeb journal, i'm digging it! check out the changes i made if you'd like to!
Jul. 26th, 2016 03:04 am (UTC)
Is there any way I could us this code for a profile?
Aug. 3rd, 2016 04:37 pm (UTC)
Using this, thank you! :) You've got a real gift!
Mar. 15th, 2017 11:55 pm (UTC)
Hiya, IDK if you would be able to help (IJ hasn't responded). I set up this layout, which got deleted in the great IJ downtime. But now it won't let me do any custom options. I just receive "
Layer belongs to another user. 4169363 vs 4091129" as a message over and over. So it looks like... it looks now (also I cannot even change their themes for complete style to change what it looks like x.x.x.x.xx). Anyway, I really love this layout and was hoping to use it. Have you encountered / known anyone who has encountered this, or advice for what to do?
Mar. 16th, 2017 07:35 am (UTC)
Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about. :( I've had the error, and I know at least three other people off the top of my head who've had it as well, myself included. It's a bug left over from the blackout, and I'm not sure what to do other than wait it out.

The best I can tell with what's happening: If you changed your layout to an S2 style after 2/13 (but before the site went down), now you're locked out of editing that style on the account you switched it on. You'll be able to switch to any other S1 or S2 style on that account, but as of yet I have had absolutely no luck getting back into a style that I've been locked out of.

Obviously, that makes me pretty leery of making new S2 Complete Style layouts right now, because there's always going to be that chance someone won't be able to install it, even if it's not guaranteed.

I'm so sorry; I wish I had better news, but it's just not something I can fix or work around for you guys. I'm really hoping Squeaky fixes it, but I haven't heard anything so far.
Mar. 16th, 2017 08:37 am (UTC)
😭😭😭 That is so sad. And okay, yeah, no, not your fault you cannot fix it, but on the plus side, now I know more. So many many thanks on at least understanding how the issue works. Aaaaaand well, if it gets fixed, I'll use this layout. If not, I guess I'll have to find something that's not a complete style. *sigh* TY again.
Mar. 16th, 2017 08:43 am (UTC)
You're welcome! I just really wish I had a fix haha. On any account where you haven't changed the layout style since before 2/13 or changed it after the site came back (and accounts created after the site came back, of course), you should be fine to use any layout style you want without any issue, so there's that at least.

Sorry again! I know it's super frustrating, but I hope knowing what instances it's happening in so you know when to expect it helps a little. (I should probably make a post explaining what it is, now that I think about it.)
Mar. 16th, 2017 09:27 am (UTC)
Yeah, it's way better to know and to understand. Makes me glad I asked. :))))
Apr. 8th, 2017 07:07 pm (UTC)
Hi Tess! Long-time user, first time commenter~ I love all your layouts. Seriously, they are magic. I only have one question for this layout: I used for my community (here )and matching journals. It's pretty much exactly what we want but we were curious to know if there was a way to include the journal icons when they post in the community?
Apr. 27th, 2017 07:52 pm (UTC)
Hey, sorry for the super late reply! You're going to want to replace:

.outer-entry-userpic, .mid-entry-userpic, .header-poster, .lj-view-recent .inner-entry-userpic{display:none;}
.lj-view-friends .inner-entry-userpic{text-align:center;padding:0 0 10px 10px;margin:0;}
.lj-view-friends .inner-entry-userpic img{width:65px;height:65px;padding:4px;background:#fff;border:1px solid #ccc;margin-bottom:5px;}
.pic-poster img{display:none;}
.inner-entry-userpic .ljuser{font-size:9px;font-weight:normal;text-transform:uppercase;}

With the following:

.outer-entry-userpic, .mid-entry-userpic, .header-poster{display:none;}
.inner-entry-userpic{text-align:center;padding:0 0 10px 10px;margin:0;}
.inner-entry-userpic img{width:65px;height:65px;padding:4px;background:#fff;border:1px solid #ccc;margin-bottom:5px;}
.pic-poster img{display:none;}
.inner-entry-userpic .ljuser{font-size:9px;font-weight:normal;text-transform:uppercase;}

This is probably a silly question, but none of my fixes have worked, so here I am. I'm trying to link to the artist for my seamless background in the blurb section (in this journal) but the link is the same color as the background. I've tried every color changing bit of code I know and can find but nothing's working.

I know it's probably something absurdly simple, but it's eluding me. Any help would be lovely! <3
Nov. 15th, 2017 10:52 pm (UTC)
Heyo! The overall page link color is just coming in to sabotage you a little (super rude lmao.) You're just gonna need to add in .module-customtext2 a{color:#666;} to the layout and then change your credit text to a standard <a href="https://jojo-ojoj.deviantart.com/gallery/" target="blank">Background by Jojo</a> and you'll be all set! ♥
Nov. 15th, 2017 10:56 pm (UTC)
That worked beautifully! Thank you so much ♥
Nov. 15th, 2017 10:56 pm (UTC)
No problem! (That background is gorgeous btw!)
Nov. 15th, 2017 10:58 pm (UTC)
Isn't it just?? I found the artist on Deviantart and ended up saving over 300 of their seamless designs (as well as some nice png images). Seriously fantastic work! Which is why I wanted to make sure to credit them :)
