I basically never make profile codes, so since that's the challenge at [info]rpresources this month I thought HEY, WHAT BETTER TIME TO MAKE MORE? Simple and easy to edit. Enjoy! <3 BTW, do you like superheroes? Do you like playing original characters? Go check out [info]godlikemod and see if you wanna join us! Game opens for play on 5/10 and we're accepting apps now.
002: The Code
Paste the following into a code tester, then follow the directions below!

004: Rules and Shit
→Leave my credit.
→Do not redistribute in part or in whole.
→If you break something during editing don't be scared to ask me to see what happened. Yep. That's a rule.
→If you're a maker like I am and you do something cool with this I'd really like to see it, but it's not necessary.

→LJ-RAW means ya gotta BR them line breaks!
→Probably should be behind a cut, js js.

May. 10th, 2014 03:03 am (UTC)
You are one of the most amazing coders on this server. JSYK. I will be using this somewhere, not sure where yet! <3
May. 10th, 2014 08:46 pm (UTC)
I love this! Using it here
May. 24th, 2014 03:07 am (UTC)
Hmmm....why would the image disappear when I'm viewing my journal, but not the post itself? Is it something to do with the lj-raw code?

May. 24th, 2014 03:53 am (UTC)
Oh, that's because you're using an S1 Generator layout (which is built with HTML tables) and this code is also an HTML table, so the styling in the CSS is overriding it. The best way to use it in a journal entry so that it shows up correctly for you and on people's flists would be to convert it to div styling (I can do that for you.)
May. 24th, 2014 04:00 am (UTC)
oh! If it's not too hard or time consuming I would love that.
May. 24th, 2014 04:08 am (UTC)
Commented your dropbox with a recode! <3
May. 24th, 2014 04:10 am (UTC)
Thank you so much!
Jun. 25th, 2014 12:14 pm (UTC)
would it be possible for me to also get the div code this layout? tysm!
Jan. 8th, 2015 06:42 am (UTC)
Here you go! Same replacement values (for the height/width/gif) apply as in the above instructions. Soooo sorry for this taking a million years. <3
Jan. 8th, 2015 04:57 am (UTC)
Hey I'm using this and it looks like I'm having a similar problem to what the two previous posters have had. Could I get the div code as well? I unfortunately am completely clueless as how to switch it over.

Jan. 14th, 2015 02:47 pm (UTC)
Hi! So, I love this code, it's really neat, and I'm trying to use it on my contact post for this journal. Only, it won't show up? I know you say it should probably be behind a cut does that have something to do with it? The little (C) for your credit shows up, and if you click 'add comment' or preview the entry the .gif shows up, but not when you're just viewing the most recent entries. Sorry to be a bother but is there any way for me to fix that?
Jan. 14th, 2015 02:54 pm (UTC)
Yup! It's because it's meant for a profile page and it's a table (profile pages only allow HTML tables and no CSS styled divs.) Generator layouts are built with nested tables (for some godawful early 2000s reason) and the styling of the layout inserts itself into this coding as well when viewed in the journal. Just use this redone entry version and you should be good to go! ♥
Jan. 14th, 2015 02:58 pm (UTC)
You are amazing. Thank you so much! Serious, for helping dumb dumbs like me who can't code worth a dang. Your stuff is always so beautiful ♥

I guess also I should have read the other comments first before spamming you, I'm sorry!
Jan. 14th, 2015 03:00 pm (UTC)
Awww, thank you so much! ♥ I'm really glad you like it. :3 And, psh, don't even worry about it. It happens.
May. 13th, 2015 10:47 pm (UTC)
Love this! But is there any way to get the transparent overlay at the TOP of the background image instead of at the bottom? Thanks!
May. 14th, 2015 03:38 am (UTC)
Here you go!

Feb. 20th, 2017 12:54 pm (UTC)
Would it be possible to put three separate images as the background? I'm trying to figure it out myself right now, but asking might help. :P
Feb. 20th, 2017 02:08 pm (UTC)
I am crying a little, 'cause I did manage to put three pictures in a row, only to accidentally delete the code and now I cant replicate it. ._. Didn't get the textbox to stretch across tho, so I would have needed help anyway. :P
Jul. 4th, 2017 04:39 pm (UTC)
when i try to use this code, it doesn't center the overlay box... any help?
Jul. 4th, 2017 04:42 pm (UTC)
If you're using it inside of a Generator layout and not on an account profile page it may be the layout's coding conflicting with it. I generally recommend not using table-based codes in entries without a cut on Generator layouts because of that, ngl. Generator likes to ruin those codes LOL.

If you've got it on a profile page though, I'm not sure!
Jul. 4th, 2017 05:18 pm (UTC)

yeah i'm not sure why it isn't working
Jul. 4th, 2017 05:26 pm (UTC)
Oh, I see! Just missed some closing tags is all. I've got it all fixed for you!

Jul. 10th, 2017 10:10 am (UTC)
thank you so much for your help! is there a way to change the opacity of the box?
Jul. 10th, 2017 04:59 pm (UTC)
Unfortunately since you can't use CSS in profile codes, it had to be made an image, but if you have (just about) any image editing program that supports transparency you should be able to edit the opacity there!

If you were just wanting it to full opacity, however, you can just change:
