001: Informative Info
Here's a big one for you guys! There are two versions of this code. A clean and easy to navigate all-in-one setup for people who prefer all game info to be on one page, and separated pages for people who prefer to have more differentiation. Please note that these are for HTML pages only, so you need a Scribbld account, paid/permanent IJ account, or web hosting account to use them. Enjoy! <3

Thank you!

This is gorgeous! Do you think maybe I could try tweaking it for my personal journal?
Dec. 18th, 2013 07:53 pm (UTC)
I don't mind at all! :D Just remember that this layout is completely new HTML and CSS, so you have to have paid or perm to use it on IJ (so that you can use a custom style.)

this is the greatest thing ever!

Hee, thank you! ♥

Would it be all right if I ripped off this design and made it into a table for personal usage? That is, with credit still provided?

Additionally, provided you accept, would you like to see it once it's finished?
Jan. 25th, 2014 10:01 pm (UTC)
Sure, go for it! (And I'd love to see it when you're done. :3)

I'm still polishing it up, but the concept is still the same! It's right here. So far, I only put out link 1 and link 2.

I know, I need to apply "text-decoration:none" to it already, but I got overzealous once I got everything to work the way I wanted it too.

This might be a really dumb question, but how do you use this with a paid account/scribbld account? Is there a tutorial floating around on how to do that?
May. 9th, 2017 06:36 pm (UTC)
It's not, don't worry! The style editing page is really hard to find in the site nav; honestly, I don't even know how to get to it manually anymore since it's in my auto-complete on Chrome lmfao. Let me know if you need clarification on any of the following!

You'll want to go here: http://www.insanejournal.com/styles/create.bml

If you are planning to use these as external pages aside from your recent/friends/calendar/day pages, then go ahead and use any page view. If you want it to replace a specific page view, pick that one.

From there, use the first text box with the auto-generated save name to rename it, then scroll down to the very last (large) text box and paste the code to edit and save it. You'll be given a link to the page after saving; open that in a new tab to refresh if you're editing in small pieces.

If you're not replacing a default view, that's all you need! If you are, then do the following:

Set to s1: http://www.insanejournal.com/customize/
Set the page view you want to replace the file name you previously saved: http://www.insanejournal.com/customize/style.bml (and the rest to generator if you want a layout on the other page views.)
Set a layout for the other page views, if desired: http://www.insanejournal.com/customize/options.bml

*Please note that replacing page views only works with S1, so you cannot use S2 Complete Style if replacing a page view with a custom style.

**From then on if you want to edit your page(s), you'll go here http://www.insanejournal.com/styles/edit.bml

Oh hey that makes total sense. Thank you!

Awesome, I'm glad that cleared it up! I need to post an entry with instructions sometime haha. It's so hard to find the links without already having been to them before.
