001: Informative Info
Another layout; nothing too fancy or unique this time, just a clean, simple journal. Enjoy!
002: The Layout

003: Directions
→Go to Basics, choose S2, fill in your title if desired, then save.
→Go to Look and Feel, choose Bloggish for the layout and None for the theme, then save.
→Go to Custom Options, and choose the following:
→Layout Type: Two column (Sidebar on left)
→Disable customized comment pages for your journal: Yes
→Custom stylesheet: Input the code above and save
→All done! :D
004: CTRL+F This Shit
005: Rules and Shit
→Credit me either in your link list or your profile if you remove it from the sidebar's coding.
→Do not remove my credit from the CSS.
→Do not redistribute in part or in whole.
→If you break something during editing don't be scared to ask me to see what happened. Yep. That's a rule.
→If you're a maker like I am and you do something cool with this I'd really like to see it, but it's not necessary.

This might be just me, but the sidebar of the layout looks completely borked in Firefox.
Dec. 16th, 2013 06:32 pm (UTC)
Aw, crap haha. I know exactly what I forgot to toss in there. I'll fix that bug and update the copy/paste code.
Dec. 16th, 2013 06:33 pm (UTC)
Aaand fixed!

Just a little note to appreciate the use of "borked" here. Carry on.

...Me gusta.

How you been girl?
Dec. 16th, 2013 08:21 pm (UTC)
Hee, ty!

I'm goood. Was out of town for the past three weeks and now that I'm back I'm gearing up to get my ass back to your icon comm and start entering the challenges again, ngl. I'VE MISSED IT. How're yooou? :3
Dec. 16th, 2013 08:26 pm (UTC)
I'm alright - December > everyone. We've missed YOU. :P I just posted the voting for the icon of the month and for challenge 15, but challenge 16 just started today. It's TV themed. Boom.
Dec. 16th, 2013 08:31 pm (UTC)
Oh god, right? I'm just glad my holiday shopping has been done for like a month lmao.

Oooh, yay. I needed an excuse to make more VB icons, obviously.

I love how simple this layout is and how easy it is to change things around one! I've been playing around with it at [info]deadmanmod. However, I do have a question. How do I go about changing the font style for the header and such? I've never used font types like that before. Do I need to use Google Fonts or what?
Dec. 21st, 2013 03:10 am (UTC)
Oh, that's looking great! To change the font go to Google Fonts and browse for a font you like. I was gonna try to explain it, but here; I'll do it with ~PICTURES!~

Dec. 21st, 2013 04:36 am (UTC)
Thank you so much for explaining that too me! I see now what I was doing wrong and got it working now. THANK YOU!
Dec. 21st, 2013 05:03 am (UTC)
No problem, hon! :D
Dec. 22nd, 2013 03:10 pm (UTC)
I love this layout, but I'm a little puzzled as to what it does when you view it from another journal. The columns actually decrease?
Dec. 22nd, 2013 08:37 pm (UTC)
I noticed that too! And I asked a friend if they were seeing it and they said no, so I thought it was just me. I'll look into it lol. It's just so weird since it doesn't do it if you're logged into the journal. *hands*
Dec. 22nd, 2013 08:39 pm (UTC)
I've not checked it on any other browsers, but I'm currently using Torch. Is it possible that it's a browser related issue?
Dec. 22nd, 2013 09:37 pm (UTC)
I don't think so; I'm on Chrome and it's done it for me too in some instances. Weirdly enough my test journal looks fine on any browser I try. Maybe it's communities? Idk, ngl for once I am absolutely confused. I usually know what I done went and fucked up as soon as I see it, but... XD
Dec. 30th, 2013 02:59 pm (UTC)
The problem seems to have resolved itself?
Dec. 27th, 2013 05:37 am (UTC)
Hello there! I really love this, and am attempting to use it here: http://asylums.insanejournal.com/_fracture_/

however, it seems the entries aren't as wide as they should be? Any clue what I may have done wrong? thanks for any help, this is simply gorgeous!
Jan. 28th, 2014 08:28 pm (UTC)
i still have yet to figure this bug out, ngl. It's probably just some tiny dumbass mistake on my end. I'll ping you when I figure it out!

Jan. 31st, 2014 06:36 am (UTC)
hee, thanks! :) and yeah, she's made of awesome!
Jan. 28th, 2014 01:56 pm (UTC)
I used this here http://users.insanejournal.com/baylee_/

and I figured out how to make the main entry part as wide as I wanted it, but I can't figure out how to make the entries fit the box. If that makes sense. Is there a way to make them wider as well to fit the box?

On #pagebody i changed it from 598px to 650px to make it the size i liked it. But couldn't find how to make the entries do the same.

i still have yet to figure it out, ngl. XD I've been sick so I haven't taken a sec to look into it, but it's probably just some tiny dumbass mistake on my end. I'll ping you when I figure it out!

Snagging for here and [info]herworstdream though I'm yet to modify that one. Also stole the dark version of your other journal layout for [info]kishiclaudia
Mar. 23rd, 2014 03:55 am (UTC)
Do you happen to know, is there a way to add a header image to this?
Mar. 27th, 2014 02:50 am (UTC)
Ugh I'm having a brain fart which is annoying me cause I can usually figure out simple things like this...

For some reason the entries are WIDER than the actual layout when I view the friends page which is really annoying me :(
Mar. 27th, 2014 02:51 am (UTC)
It's also happening in at least one other journal too that I use this layout in...
Mar. 27th, 2014 02:54 am (UTC)
Sorry for the spam! NVM I of course had a light bulb moment right after I commented >.>
Apr. 16th, 2014 10:58 am (UTC)
I think I'm having the same problem that you were. It's been awhile since I've tried anything but the default themes, so I'm a little rusty. How did you go about fixing it?
Apr. 18th, 2014 03:51 am (UTC)
Find the .entry bit of code and add in a width.

My code is

.entry{padding:5px 0 0 0;border-top:1px solid #ccc; width:600px;}
Apr. 15th, 2014 09:54 pm (UTC)
Hey, might be a stupid question, but how does one go about adding the links into the sidebar like you've got in the picture?
Apr. 15th, 2014 09:57 pm (UTC)
There should be a link to edit your link list here. :3
Apr. 15th, 2014 10:06 pm (UTC)
Thanks for the speedy reply! All fixed. Cheers :)

Hi there! I'm using your layout (which is fab by the way!) on this journal but the entries aren't aligning correctly. Could you tell me what I need to fix, please?

Thank you!!!

Hi there! I think I did everything right, but I seem to have a strange rectangle tacked onto the right edge of the posts! Help please? I love this layout! :)
May. 6th, 2016 07:06 am (UTC)
Using here!
Aug. 22nd, 2016 07:37 pm (UTC)
Something has gone dreadfully wrong. I used this layout for my journal [info]harperwhitley and it worked perfectly. I made some color changes etc, but it looks exactly the way I want it to. Then I literally copied the code from Harper's journal to use in this one, and... it's completely borked, and I have no idea what I've done wrong :(

Do you still answer these comments? Please help! :)
Aug. 22nd, 2016 07:38 pm (UTC)
UPDATE: Fixed it! Sorry!
