Layouts, Codes, Tutorials, & Resources

Hey there, I'm Tess!

Welcome to my blog; I make lots of different layouts, codes, tutorials, and other resources for Insanejournal and Dreamwidth RPers! There's a lot to choose from and brand new content goes up every week!

Take a look around, and don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it!

Can't get enough resources? Why not subscribe to my Patreon for exclusive monthly content, or support the creation of more content by leaving a tip on Ko-Fi! ♡

If you're unable to comment on my journal to ask for help now that anon has been turned off due to serious spam issues, don't worry! Just shoot me an email and I'll send you an invite code for Insanejournal. I've got plenty to spare!

Please Note:

I do not offer assistance with any sites other than IJ and DW unless it is for general HTML and CSS (ie. custom hosted pages and similar.) I cannot convert a code to a new site's rules because there are a lot of niche RP sites, and I have no way of knowing each one's limitations and caveats. Sorry about that!

Aw ty ty!! I'd definitely love to make, like, a giant frame post sometime this year ngl, and have like a section for larger frames and a section for icon-sized frames, since I know a lot of people like to use those.

Probably an obvious thing, and I've just missed a tutorial somewhere, but how do you use these?

There is no tutorial, sorry! I am thinking about writing up a 'basics of editing' type tutorial sometime soon, but as of now any graphics templates I post do assume the user has a surface knowledge of GIMP or PS.

Essentially, once you've opened your file in PS or GIMP, you'll want to drop your image file in as well and drag it to the bottom layer and resize (using Layer > Scale Layer) and move the layer as needed. After that there are a number of ways to crop it to fit, but for the preview to this pack I just used the rectangle or ellipse select tool depending on frame shape, inverted the selection using Select > Invert, and hit delete for each image layer. When you're done you can use Image > Crop to content before exporting.

Here's a quick visual guide.

That makes sense! I had assumed that they were frames you could use as CSS backgrounds or something similar, I didn't realize they were templates to be used in PS. My misunderstanding. But thank you for the help!
